If I were not paying of my CC, I would buy this and this & this..

I have been a big fan of this brand for many years, and have seen it grow into a well recognised brand.  Who are you talking about, you ask?

Well, the brand that I totally love is gorjana. For my regular post, I was looking for something to share with you, but gorjana’s pieces are so fab, I could not just pick one.  So, with the help of Polyvore, I have created a little set of all my fav pieces – they are all just delicious!!

My favourite Gorjana pieces

Handbag / Jewelry / Necklace / Bracelet / Necklace / Necklace

Now, a little bit about the brand.  Born in 2004, by husband and wife duo Gorjana and Jason Griffin Reidel.  Now named gorjana & griffin,  its creators describe their brand as a “socially conscious lifestyle company that makes cool, fashionable, current, high quality products at reasonable price points for men and women.” – totally love this description.  And you can tell from all their pieces that they are true to their company branding.

I have personally seen the brand grow over the years, as they have added new lines to their collections.  Initially, launching with jewellery.  gorjana has grown their range to include handbags, shoes, accessories as well as launching in 2012 a Men’s line.

They have a huge following, from celeb’s like Kristin Cavallari, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford and Olivia Wilde.  They are regularly seen in fashion magazines in the US – Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Lucky& Instyle

You can visit their website directly here, and enjoy $15.00 postage costs, which is fab.  You can purchase all their collection, plus they have some exclusives that you can only get on their site.  I know that my favourite on-line website ShopBop also carries these wonderful pieces.

So, I would strongly suggest, if you are looking for some wonderful pieces at a fantastic price, with good shipping rates, I would get your little fingers down to gorjana now.

Til next time, be good…

Who’s on the cover of Vogue’s September’s issue?

Its something that is always talked about, gawd even a movie was made about it – the September issue of Vogue USA.   The cover September issue of Vogue has been leaked none other by the coveree herself – Lady Gaga!  It seems that she posted the cover on her website Little Monsters, with the comments: “SHH DONT TELL TWITTER/ SEPT ISSUE OF VOGUE MAGAZINE/ Sorry Anna but the underground kids deserve it. bisous!”

So, here is the cover. The absolutely gorgeous mermaid style dress Lady GG is wearing is from none other than Marc Jacobs.  The photography is amazing by Mert & Marcus.

Lady Gaga on the cover of September Vogue

Inside the issue, Lady Gaga talks about a new fragrance she is launching, as well as being a free spirit.    This is what she says “I still find time to have sex at night on the beach when no one’s around.  Or roll into a bar and get (bleeped) up, and dance with my top off. It’s just that no one ever sees it, because I have great real friends who never let me do it when I would get caught.”  – Just got to love her!!!

The September issue is huge – it is a whopping 916 pages and will be out on August 21.  I know that I look forward to reading it on my iPad!  Can not wait.

Have  a great weekend!

If I were not paying off my CC, I would buy this – 50-70% off shoes

Good mid morning everyone, today I received another seductive email from Australian shoe Designer duo Andrea & Joen.  I could not believe my eyes when the email informed me of their 50-70% off shoe sale, sorry n, 50 -90 % sale off their whole store.  I just had to go and check it out to make sure it was legit! It was!

So, here are my picks from their sale.  Too many to choose from!

Andrea & Joen – Classic Suede Ballet Flat was $150 now $30

I chose these flats, as my red ones so desperately need an update.  I love the classic red flat.  It is so wearable, I mean everywhere!

Andrea & Joen – Luna Boots Were $275, now $82.50

I have been loving my own brown boots at the moment and usually not one for black, but I thought the detail on these boots were great..  very tempting…

Andrea & Joen – Onyx sandal were $198 now $45

Finally, I chose these Onyx Sandals.  I love these for summer.  Perfect for almost any outfit except that night out, unless you are visiting the local restaurant.

These prices are crazy!  You have to check out Andrea & Joen’s on-line Store.  I have previously purchased their sandals which I totally love.  It is also great to support our Aussie Designers.

So, check out all the other bargains at their site, there is loads to choose from…

Have fun!

Me? A Nasty Girl… its not what you think!

So, I have been working on an assignment over the past week, and I have been putting together my final pieces on Polyvore.  I am in throws of completing a fashion styling course, which by the way I have been trying to complete for over a year.  I now have a reason to complete it, so am doing so, but more about that later in the year. 🙂

In putting together “MySet” in polyvore, I noticed an awesome photo that I wanted to use in my next set, so I clicked it and it took me to this website – http://www.nastygal.com.  Now before you think, that this is a nasty website, if you know what I mean, its not.

I could not believe what I found.. EUREKA! – that is so Oussie! lol.. Do any of you know the feeling of finding something, that you were not intentionally looking for.. OMG.. that was this moment.  This site is fantastic… I totally heart it!! (is that a bit weird using that word – Am I too old??). When you have been looking at fashion for as long as I have on the internet, its a real treat when you find news ones.  I compare it to finding money in your jeans that you forgot about.. Yes, that’s the feeling – right there!

At this site you will find all sorts of fab-U-lous (I am saying this Kevin Lee style, you know the LA Celebrity florist) things.  Its cool, with a punk sort of vibe.  I was just checking out some styles and there are loads that I totally love.

Check out some of my fav’s below..  I have a little bit of an accessories bias for obvious reasons

Nastygal – Metal Mania Clutch – $47

Not only do I love this silver clutch, but I love all the colours and of course the rack of bangles… gives me some ideas for a gold stack!

Nastygal – Villa Woven tote – $57

This bag is perfect for summer weekends.  I just just obsessed with brights ATM.

Nastygal – prickly platform (by J.Campbell) – $214.00

And these shoes – OMG.  I am so totally in love with these J.Campbell shoes..  So, Lady Gaga.  Not sure how I would go walking in them but they are some fiece shoe.  anyone out there interested in buying me a pair??

Now, a little about this wonderfully fab website.

Nasty Gal is a global online destination for fashion-forward, free-thinking girls. In 2006, founder Sophia Amoruso started an eBay store selling a highly curated selection of vintage pieces. In just five short years, the shop has grown to become an international style source offering both new and vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories.

Our buyers search high and low for pieces you won’t find anywhere else—be it from the Rose Bowl Flea Market or the racks at showrooms. Our shop is stocked weekly with both handpicked vintage and a highly curated selection of up-and-coming designers, giving you not just what the fashion doctor ordered, but truly unique items that can’t be found elsewhere.

Besides the style of clothing and accessories, I of course love the prices and so will you.  They are all very reasonable.

They ship to Australia.  If you are willing to wait, shipping costs can be as low as $15, but if you can not wait to receive your purchase, you can pay up to approx $40, which is on the high side. I would be going for the $15 shipping myself.  They have have a vintage section, with some fab pieces.

So, do any of you people out there, know of this website? Am I a little slow on the uptake?  Check out the site and let me know what your favorite pieces are!

Til next time!

Weird name, but some great buys – BOOHOO

So, last night I was watching “It’s a Brad, Brad World”, which is growing on me.  I actually think Brad is way better than what’s her name??  I can see her face, just can not recall her name,  I am thinking of the emails I receive from her,, that’s right Rachel Zoe.

Anyway, during one of the show breaks, I see an ad for a new on-line retailer, called “BooHoo”, that’s right Boohoo.  First time around I did not take much notice of the ad, but second time around, I sat and watched, then I tried to go to the site, but for some reason, I think I was like many other chickies, trying to access the site with no luck – 😦

So, this morning I checked it out.  I actually really love the pieces that they have.  Below are just some of the pieces that I chose.

Charmaine Scale Effect Blanket Edged Clutch - $36

Elizabeth Diamond Print Peplum Top - $30

Sophie Spotted Paperbag waist Cropped Trousers - $36

Now, just a little bit about the brand.

“Boohoo is one of the UK’s leading online fashion retailers, offering trend-led clothing at affordable prices. Boohoo provide a wide selection of celebrity and catwalk inspired pieces – with lots of new looks arriving daily….Since the launch in 2006, Boohoo has quickly become one of the most successful online fashion retailers for women’s clothing. As the company has grown, so has the customer base and Boohoo now ship worldwide to countries such as USA and Australia.”

I tried to see the cost of postage to Australia, but at the moment their pricing says $FOC.  If you can work out what this means, please let me know.  It takes 7-10 days to ship, which is not bad.  The only down side, is that you have to pay to have the items shipped back to the UK, if you want to return them.  A bit like the other UK brands, before ASOS moved to returns in Australia.  For my international readers, the pricing seems pretty reasonable.  You can check out their delivery information here

I think the price point is fantastic, and new pieces are coming in all the time. Boohoo seems to have built a great business, and looks as though many magazines use their products.

In a time, where people are a little more careful with what they spend, and still want to look fabulous, I can only say check them out.  You will be able to find something at a fantastic price point and have something that not everyone is wearing.  Enjoy guys.

Will you be buying something from BooHoo??  If you do, please let me know, what you thought of them..

Til next time… Be Good

If I weren’t paying off my CC, I would SO buy these..

So, the season is starting to get a little cooler – yeaahhh!, and I am feeling that I need to get a pair of boots.  Now you all know that a new pair of shoes is off my list, so I would love to share these shoes I found, that I would SO would be buying if I did not have this gawd dam credit card debt.

So, introducing – the L.K Bennett (London) Dolly Shoe Boot.  Isn’t she just fabulous!!!

L.K Bennett - Dolly Shoe Boot

I came across this brand via a US blogger who was letting us know that L.K Bennett were opening a store in NYC.  I checked out their on-line site and the first thing I do is check out their shipping info.  And yes, they do ship to Australia.  While the shipping a is little on the expensive side, at approx $70 AUD, I could justify it for a pair of shoes, if I were in a buying situation.

Yes, so thank you to my work friend, who pointed out that I should include the price.  A little on the exey side for those budget conscious,  these shoes are approx $376 AUD. but all worth not eating for maybe a while, or you could almost live a week or 2 on 2 minute noodles, a 5 pack is about $3.  Something to think about..

Here is a description of the shoes from the L.K.Bennett website:

“This laser cut peep toe shoe boot is set upon a 120mm high heel.  The laser cutting process renders an upper that is flexible, comfortable and moulds to the foot.  The lace-up detailing gives Dolly a strong fashion attitude. Available in Black and Tan Vegetan Leather.”

This pair of shoes are the perfect, I say perfect trans-seasonal shoe.  Perfect with jeans, on the weekend, perfect for that dress and pencil skirt.  I just keep picking all these perfect shoes.  Are there any shoes out there that are not perfect?  It takes me back to the episode of SATC, and Carrie just druels over a pair of pink shoes while window shopping with Samantha, which I am sure are MB’s, you know the scene out of the last episode of Season 4, just before Miranda gives birth to her baby boy.  I so wish I could find the scene on you tube, but just can not seem to find it.  You will just have to imagine the scene in your head.

You know that feeling you get when you find a new pair of those perfect shoes.  You just imagine taking them walking and how proud and tall they make you feel. You hear yourself say “I am every WOMEN”, I can hear the sound of Whitney’s voice, as I write this.  You feel that bit of confidence that that height gives you walking down the street.. Let’s take you walking Dolly… well in my dreams anyway…

So, please someone out there make me feel better today, please let me know if you purchase these shoes…

til next time… Be good!!!

If I were not paying off my CC, I would buy these NOW…

Be quick!!!  I just read an email from Chicdowntown, another on-line website that I love and found these shoes – Manolo Blahnik Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals – ON SALE!!!

Manolo Blahnik - Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals

Manolo Blahnik - Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals

Yes, I know these are another sandal, when here in Brissie we are moving into a cooler season, but when you can get Manolo Blahnik’s for $189, yes that is right $189.00 reduced from $620, you should get a pair.  Now, you are asking are they real??  Yes, I fully trust this site, I have purchased designer items from here before and they are all authentic.

These are the perfect colour combination for almost any outfit you wear..  Jeans, dresses, shorts… They are almost the perfect shoe, for a little while til you find the next pair… arnt I cheeky.

Til my next post…. Be Good!!!
