Hermes is the ultimate in handbag luxury in the world – I mean ULTIMATE!  I was even privileged recently to hold one, thanks to a wonderful friend, who recently made a purchase.

They are a totally beautiful bag, and you would know one when you see one.  You will see many celeb’s & very wealthy people donning their Birkin or Kelly.

I can not believe this!  I just converted the priced of this handbag to Australian dollars and it is just on $51,000.00.. Yes,  you are correct, the comma is in the right spot.  Fifty-one thousand dollars.. OMG… OMG… but she is a beautiful bag.

I think you should check out the site and pick your bag and let me know which one you picked and how much it cost in AUD dollars.  Have a bit of fun!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Why is it so hard??? It is not me in the picture!

What is so hard, I am Not my Clothes? you ask!

So, not me.. I am not happy with myself or my credit card! (image c/- http://www.latesttechworld.com

Well,  its my credit card that is causing my grief this week.  The premise of this blog is to illustrate how I pay off my credit card fashionably of course, and to date, I have paid off a miserable $227.22. That’s right.. $227.00, sorry, I forgot the 22 cents.  I can hear you all out there.. and I feel the same way.. I am a little disappointed 😦

I have not been that responsible over the past 6  months checking my credit card statements, and I suppose I was a little to scared to see where I was at, and I am not sure what made me do it recently.. hmm, maybe this blog, as that is part of the reason that I am writing this.

I am happy that I have paid $1980.00 off my card over the past 6 months, but sadly, I have also spent nearly $1600…  It is so hard to write this post, and face this, but I will continue!

So, what have I spent it on, you ask?  I am very happy to say, that I have not purchased any clothes at ALL!!  Nice Lucia!  But the biggest culprit has been, and you would not believe it GROCERIES!!!  YES!!!  Groceries!  How boring… I have used my credit card after I had attempted to use my EFT card, and there has been no money in the account.  So, rather than be embarrassed and leave, or  transfer some money, I have just used my CC to make the payment, because it was so easy.  So, over the past 6 months this has amassed to about $700, and I have shared it with Coles, Myer, The butcher, Woolies and Kmart and the local petrol station.

The other culprit of this incident, is the good old Apple iTunes!  I have an iPhone and an iPad.  It is so easy to purchase apps, magazines (fashion ones of course), books and games for my daughter, that I did not realize that I spent $330.00 in the past 6 months.  In the back of my head, when I was making the purchases I knew what I was doing, but a $1 here, and a couple of bucks there, slowly added up to $330.00.. hmm.

Finally, interest has been the other factor in chewing up my money, totally $335.00.  This is something I knew I had to pay.. so, no biggy there.

I know you are adding the numbers up in your head to make sure that they equal and currently they don’t add up. So, with that I do make a regular donation to RSPCA that amounted to $100 over the 6 months, and then I had a couple of work expenses where I used my credit card as they did not take the corporate card that my company uses.  That equated to approx $250.  So, it all adds up!

So, with facing my credit card disappointment, and the lesson in being afraid to face my credit card and being financially responsible.  I have now made a few changes to hopefully help me reduce my credit card debt.

I have killed the credit card details on my iTunes account and when I have saved a little bit of money, I will purchase some of their voucher, which is a much better option.  I have cancelled my monthly donation to RSPCA.  I need it a little more than they do at the moment.  I have also changed my bank account to one of those debit credit card accounts, which will mean if I need to purchase something I can use my bank account rather than a credit card.  I also need to be more responsible that and check my bank account balance on a regular basis, so I do not get caught out doing the groceries again.

At the moment, I am feeling really deflated, cause I thought it would be easy to pay off my credit card and its really hard.  You have to be very focused and really want to reduce it.  I can say that I have been half interested, and as you can see  my half interested results!

At this point in the year, unless I win $10,000.00 to clear my debt or I create  some miracle, I think it might take a little longer than I expected to pay this off.  I have read articles similar to mine, and it has taken people a couple of years. I hope it does not take me this long, but hey, if that is how it happens, that is how it happens.

You know, I am not sure what you are experiencing in your world financially, but I am feeling a little like those European countries, you know, doing your best just to get through their financial situation, with the BIG hope that I will get through this.  It feels like all those years of prosperity, that I was part of is long gone, but the memories are still with me, because I am carrying this debt.

So, my questions today, how responsible are you with your finances??  Do you regularly look at your credit card/ bank account statements to understand where your money is going??  How do you manage your credit card debt.  Can you give me any tips??

Looks like I will have to start looking at some styling at more reasonable prices if I am going to reduce this debt… ie in 2013, maybe I can be the next Gok…

Til next time… Be awesome!!

If I were not paying off my CC, I would buy this – 50-70% off shoes

Good mid morning everyone, today I received another seductive email from Australian shoe Designer duo Andrea & Joen.  I could not believe my eyes when the email informed me of their 50-70% off shoe sale, sorry n, 50 -90 % sale off their whole store.  I just had to go and check it out to make sure it was legit! It was!

So, here are my picks from their sale.  Too many to choose from!

Andrea & Joen – Classic Suede Ballet Flat was $150 now $30

I chose these flats, as my red ones so desperately need an update.  I love the classic red flat.  It is so wearable, I mean everywhere!

Andrea & Joen – Luna Boots Were $275, now $82.50

I have been loving my own brown boots at the moment and usually not one for black, but I thought the detail on these boots were great..  very tempting…

Andrea & Joen – Onyx sandal were $198 now $45

Finally, I chose these Onyx Sandals.  I love these for summer.  Perfect for almost any outfit except that night out, unless you are visiting the local restaurant.

These prices are crazy!  You have to check out Andrea & Joen’s on-line Store.  I have previously purchased their sandals which I totally love.  It is also great to support our Aussie Designers.

So, check out all the other bargains at their site, there is loads to choose from…

Me? A Nasty Girl… its not what you think!

So, I have been working on an assignment over the past week, and I have been putting together my final pieces on Polyvore.  I am in throws of completing a fashion styling course, which by the way I have been trying to complete for over a year.  I now have a reason to complete it, so am doing so, but more about that later in the year. 🙂

In putting together “MySet” in polyvore, I noticed an awesome photo that I wanted to use in my next set, so I clicked it and it took me to this website – http://www.nastygal.com.  Now before you think, that this is a nasty website, if you know what I mean, its not.

I could not believe what I found.. EUREKA! – that is so Oussie! lol.. Do any of you know the feeling of finding something, that you were not intentionally looking for.. OMG.. that was this moment.  This site is fantastic… I totally heart it!! (is that a bit weird using that word – Am I too old??). When you have been looking at fashion for as long as I have on the internet, its a real treat when you find news ones.  I compare it to finding money in your jeans that you forgot about.. Yes, that’s the feeling – right there!

At this site you will find all sorts of fab-U-lous (I am saying this Kevin Lee style, you know the LA Celebrity florist) things.  Its cool, with a punk sort of vibe.  I was just checking out some styles and there are loads that I totally love.

Check out some of my fav’s below..  I have a little bit of an accessories bias for obvious reasons

Nastygal – Metal Mania Clutch – $47

Not only do I love this silver clutch, but I love all the colours and of course the rack of bangles… gives me some ideas for a gold stack!

Nastygal – Villa Woven tote – $57

This bag is perfect for summer weekends.  I just just obsessed with brights ATM.

Nastygal – prickly platform (by J.Campbell) – $214.00

And these shoes – OMG.  I am so totally in love with these J.Campbell shoes..  So, Lady Gaga.  Not sure how I would go walking in them but they are some fiece shoe.  anyone out there interested in buying me a pair??

Now, a little about this wonderfully fab website.

Nasty Gal is a global online destination for fashion-forward, free-thinking girls. In 2006, founder Sophia Amoruso started an eBay store selling a highly curated selection of vintage pieces. In just five short years, the shop has grown to become an international style source offering both new and vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories.

Our buyers search high and low for pieces you won’t find anywhere else—be it from the Rose Bowl Flea Market or the racks at showrooms. Our shop is stocked weekly with both handpicked vintage and a highly curated selection of up-and-coming designers, giving you not just what the fashion doctor ordered, but truly unique items that can’t be found elsewhere.

Besides the style of clothing and accessories, I of course love the prices and so will you.  They are all very reasonable.

They ship to Australia.  If you are willing to wait, shipping costs can be as low as $15, but if you can not wait to receive your purchase, you can pay up to approx $40, which is on the high side. I would be going for the $15 shipping myself.  They have have a vintage section, with some fab pieces.

So, do any of you people out there, know of this website? Am I a little slow on the uptake?  Check out the site and let me know what your favorite pieces are!

Til next time!

Where you been? what you been doing? What’s Happening??

First of all, I must thank Aiden from SATC for my title… Do any of you remember that scene from SATC, where Carie was getting a little annoyed after Aiden moved in?  Ok, so I am a little obsessed with SATC (its my thing), and its re-runs, even my 4 year old watches it with me.

So, where have I been?  What have I been doing and what’s happening in my life… Well, I can tell you all that I was a little scared off blogging after some comments got back to some people I love, and I was a little upset that those people had to deal with what I had wrote in my post.  It really upset me, and I did not want those people close to me to have to bear that, so thought it would be best to stop writing.

I did have intentions of returning on the 1st July after coming to terms with what was said, but procrastinated because it is challenging writing this blog, especially dealing with people’s feedback and the aftermath of my posts – being me.  I was inspired by 2 people  and some other things happening in my life that I decided to get back on the horse so to speak!

Firstly, the most amazing & inspiring person in my life – my husband Shane.  We were talking about goals and rewards earlier this week, and I had to take an action to write down something like 50 rewards that I would like as part of some coaching.  I replied to him, and said, why do I need rewards, I just get what I want when I want it, whatever it is (minus buying clothes).  Afterwards I got thinking, I really do not push myself enought to feel like I need to reward myself.

My life is pretty easy.  I have a wonderful family life – our girls are fantastic, I enjoy my work (at the moment anyway) and I get to do things that I want to.. You know,  I am what you call “cruising” through my life..  which is ok,  I suppose, but I want to be challenged (I think), test my boundaries, have goals, achieve them – REWARD MYSELF – uh, light bulb moment!!.  I can so see how I have avoided challenging myself because it is much easier to just cruise through life, but it goes without saying that there is a lack of fulfillment that I get on a regular basis.  It then dawned on me that I need to start challenging myself, you know accelerate my life, be the most awesome Lucia, and all those other inspiring things.

So, the second inspiration comes from another blogger, who I can not remember, she was a girl from the USA, who posts about dressing for less, sort of Who, what, wear, website with out all the pizzazz.  Well, she is now a full time blogger and had some tips for bloggers, and one of the tips resonated with me.. Have a tough skin.  Is that the phrase?  hmm, I am pretty sure that’s it.   I have been a little “scared” off by people’s comments, etc.  about the blog. So, I thought if this girl can do it, so can I

And with those 2 inspirations, here I am, back – I am not my clothes…and all you people out there.. this is just a way for me express myself, with a hint of fashion, and of course I forgot how I paid of my credit card.   Please if you have any comments, anything,  I encourage you to share them – I am not that scarey – raah!!!!(as my younger sister would say)

So, with that I will close my first returned post, over the coming weeks, I will share what I have been up to.. how my credit card debt it going, and of course share with you my other, other love… FASHION… I AM SO EXCITED…

Its good to be back!

PS – Here I am dining out with my husband earlier in June.. The anti-pasto was YUM!!!

Lucia Hiscock

I am back!!

Til next time, Be Good!

Oh Yes, whats my CC status..

Ok, I have a few posts to catch up on, and for some reason I have forgotten to let you know what has been happening with my credit card, as that is a primary point of my blog

As of today, my current credit card balance is $2,798.05.  WOW – how has she reduced her balance you ask?… Well, I wish it was legitimately down at this amount, but is it not.

Have you heard about low interest credit cards?  Well, with my current credit card, at some ridiculous interest rate, I had to think of a way to reduce the amount of interest I was paying every month, and “Wol-la” I did a search in Google, for low-rate credit cards and found this site Credit Card Finder

From here, I was able to find the card that has 0.99% PA interest for the next 12 months.  So, I applied for a St George Vertigo Card, and was able to transfer the bulk of my balance to the card, which by the way I very timidly cut up the other week, to avoid me using it.

St George Vertigo Credit Card

I have now just saved my self, well I am not sure but I think it is the difference between paying around 20% to 0.99% PA for my debt…  Brillant…  I am so excited to have made this move.

I must say that it is a little more challenging with transferring the money from our regular bank to St George, and their log on process for internet banking is a little old, but I will not complain because I am saving myself loads.

I must confess, that I did use my credit card to make a purchase for my Daughter’s – Olivia and April.  I love getting a bargin from international on-line retailers when they have their winter sales.  I spent just on $300 to get Olivia some clothes for winter.  Little April, will be lucky enough to get some of Olivia’s 1 year old winter wardrobe, which I must say is still pretty cool.

Anyway, my next blog is way cool… I have some awesome news to share…

Til then… Be good!

If I were not paying off my CC, I would buy these NOW…

Be quick!!!  I just read an email from Chicdowntown, another on-line website that I love and found these shoes – Manolo Blahnik Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals – ON SALE!!!

Manolo Blahnik - Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals

Manolo Blahnik - Mirreni Red Slingback Sandals

Yes, I know these are another sandal, when here in Brissie we are moving into a cooler season, but when you can get Manolo Blahnik’s for $189, yes that is right $189.00 reduced from $620, you should get a pair.  Now, you are asking are they real??  Yes, I fully trust this site, I have purchased designer items from here before and they are all authentic.

These are the perfect colour combination for almost any outfit you wear..  Jeans, dresses, shorts… They are almost the perfect shoe, for a little while til you find the next pair… arnt I cheeky.

Til my next post…. Be Good!!!
